Tandem's Remote Server Call (RSC) is a Tandem/workstation transport,based on technology from Cornerstone Software, Inc., that brings theTandem's Client-Server Application Architecture increased capability.RSC interfaces the user's workstation to Tandem's PATHWAY, PATHSEND andNON-PATHWAY servers. RSC allows users to build their screenpresentations, including Microsoft's windows, on a workstation (IBM/IBMclone) using MS/DOS.The RSC API interface will support any language or facility that supportscalls to linkable objects and allows parameters to be passed by referenceand/or value and can link a Microsoft library, and Windows 3.0 withDynamic Link Libraries.Users can have the best of two worlds with workstation and Tandemprocessing.
